Carla Salvo

April 11, 2014 by Bill Chandler

Novelist Carla Salvo was born and raised in Connecticut. A lover of the fine arts, she taught art in her early 20s. Carla began writing fiction for her own enjoyment and immediately became hooked when she discovered it delivered the same level of satisfaction akin to creating finished pieces of art. After showing some of her work to writer friends, she was encouraged to pursue publication of her work.

Her writing sometimes reflects remembrances of her youth in the Berkshire Mountains’ foothills and of her strict, yet loving, Sicilian-American middle-class upbringing. These influences are evident in her debut work, Just Say the Word… a suspense novel. Now a resident of the Pacific Northwest, Just Say the Word… spans three decades and takes place on both the east and west coasts. An animal lover, Carla volunteers with an organization that rescues horses. For more information on one of Carla’s favorite causes contact People Helping Horses at: info@peoplehelpinghorses.org

She is currently working on her next offering The Dutchman’s Son, which Salvo fans should see early next year.
